Find the correct COA

The product SKU and lot or batch number are normally the most useful identifiers. If a public document is not available for a product, request it through BioGeGe with the exact product and lot information.

What a COA may include

The exact tests and fields vary by product type. Depending on the product, a certificate may include:

  • Product name, catalog number or SKU.
  • Lot or batch number.
  • Manufacturing or testing date, where applicable.
  • Product specifications or release criteria.
  • Identity, concentration, purity, appearance or functional results when applicable.
  • Storage information and release status.

When requesting a COA

Include enough context for the document to be matched without guesswork.

  • Product: name and SKU.
  • Lot: lot or batch number exactly as printed.
  • Order: order number or purchase record, if available.
  • Purpose: receiving record, internal quality review, publication file or supplier qualification.

Document control

Keep the downloaded document with the product record and record the date it was obtained. If a product version, format or lot changes, verify that the document still corresponds to the material being used.
