| Oleanolic acid is widely present in plants, generally with a content of 0.2% to 2%. The highest content was found in the base of cucurbaceae, which was 1.5%-2%, and in the fruit of Ligustris lucidum, which was 0.6%-0.7%. Oleanolic acid is a white needle-like crystal (ethanol), odorless, tasteless. It is not stable to acids and bases. Melting point 308-310 ℃, [α]20D+73.3° (c=0.15, chloroform), insoluble in water, soluble in methanol, ethanol, ether, acetone and chloroform. | |
