Background Information
GAPDH (glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) catalyzes a glycolytic phosphorylation step and is commonly used as a housekeeping control in Western blotting and RT-PCR. It is mainly associated with cytosolic and membrane regions, with minimal nuclear expression; reported additional roles include stress-related apoptosis signaling, ER-to-Golgi vesicle transport, and interactions with TPPP, SIAH1, CHP1, RILPL1/GOSPEL, and FKBP6 (PMIDs: 21895736, 12829261, 25859407, 11035021). For murine tissue samples, HRP-60004 or 10494-1-AP is preferred.
