Product Description/Introduction
Recombinant Protein L-Cys, His-tag is a recombinant protein derived from the cell wall protein of Peptostreptococcus magnus and expressed in E. coli. Unlike Protein A and Protein G, which primarily bind to the Fc region, Protein L specifically binds to the kappa light chain without interfering with the antigen-binding site. This characteristic allows Protein L to interact with a broader spectrum of immunoglobulin classes and subclasses. Compared to native Protein L, this recombinant variant contains only the antibody-binding domain, thereby eliminating non-essential structures and enhancing overall stability. Additionally, this product features a His-tag for purification purposes and a C-terminal cysteine residue (Cys) to facilitate subsequent conjugation reactions.
