Product Description/Introduction
Autophagy is a degradation and recycling mechanism in the intracellular environment, which degrades damaged or excess organelles and proteins through lysosomes. The process involves the formation, transport and degradation of autophagosome, thereby maintaining the stability of intracellular environment and providing energy and nutrients for cells. In response to stress states such as starvation, hypoxia and pathogen infection, autophagy plays an important protective role and is closely related to the occurrence and development of a variety of diseases (such as neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, metabolic syndrome, etc.).
Autophagy inhibitor Chloroquine is a widely used drug for the treatment of malaria. In acidic lysosomes, chloroquine can increase the pH value of lysosomes and inhibit the activity of acid hydrolase, thereby hindering the fusion and degradation of autophagosomes and lysosomes, thus blocking the autophagy process and blocking the late stage of autophagy. Chloroquine is used to treat disease models related to excessive activity of autophagy. The main ingredient of this product is chloroquine, CAS#54-05-7, stored at a concentration of 10 mM.

Assay Protocol / Procedures
This product is chloroquine storage mother liquor. When using it, please dilute the stored mother liquor into a working liquid according to experimental needs. The most common usage concentration range is 10-200 μM; however, the specific optimal working concentration and working time must also refer to relevant literature, or be explored and optimized through experiments based on the purpose of the experiment and the actual situation of in vitro research, in vivo research, and the specific cells and tissues cultured. For preliminary tests, please refer to the recommended protocol: 100 μM treated cells for 24 h.;
Note
1. For your safety and health, please wear laboratory clothes and disposable gloves to operate.
