Product Description/Introduction
Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate, (PMA) is a lipid-soluble substance that can easily cross the cell membrane and enter the cytoplasm. It binds to the regulatory domain of protein kinase C (PKC), resulting in conformational changes of PKC, thereby activating the enzyme. Activated PKC can phosphorylate a variety of substrate proteins and regulate cell signal transduction, proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis.
In terms of cell differentiation, Buddha wave ester used to induce monocytes THP 1 cells into functional macrophage differentiation, also to promote neural stem cells into neurons and glial cells differentiation and so on. In addition, phorbol ester can also be used to study cell signaling pathways, cytoskeletal reorganization and immune cell activation. It should be noted that phorbol ester has certain cytotoxicity and carcinogenicity, so it should be used with caution and attention to protection.
The main ingredient of this product is Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA), 0.1 mg/mL DMSO.

Assay Protocol / Procedures
This product is a storage mother liquor dissolved in DMSO. When using it, please dilute the storage mother liquor into a working solution according to experimental needs.
