Image / Experimental Information

Image 1 DescriptionImmunofluorescence staining of DRP2 in U2OS cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human DRP2 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:200) at 4℃ overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor®488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to Nucleus.

Background Information

DescriptionThe dihydropyrimidinase-related protein (DRP) family, also called the collapsin response mediator protein, is implicated in the developmental process of the nervous system. Dystrophin-related protein 2 (DRP2) is a relatively small protein, encoded in man by a 45 kb gene localized to Xq22. It is expressed principally in the brain and spinal cord, and is similar in overall structure to the Dp116 dystrophin isoform.
