Background Information

DescriptionBEND4 (BEN Domain Containing 4) is located on human chromosome 4p13. The BEND4 protein is biasedly expressed in testis, prostate and other tissues. Structurally, the encoded BEND4 protein is reported to be 58375 Da in mass. The BEND4 gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, and frog. 241 organisms have orthologs with human gene BEND4. BEND4 is associated with some diseases, including Retinitis Pigmentosa 26 and Colon Lymphoma.
