CFAP410 (Cilia And Flagella Associated Protein 410) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CFAP410 include Retinal Dystrophy With Or Without Macular Staphyloma and Spondylometaphyseal Dysplasia, Axial. CFAP410 interacted with NEK1,a kinase involved in DNA damage response. Knockdown of C21ORF2 caused defective DNA repair via homologous recombination, but not nonhomologous end joining, and C21ORF2-knockdown cells did not show defective activation of G2-phase DNA damage checkpoint. CFAP410 plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. CFAP410 is necessary for maintenance of the differentiated chondrocyte phenotype.
