C6orf47 (Chromosome 6 Open Reading Frame 47, also known as G4, NG34 and D6S53E) is located on human chromosome 6p21.33 and encodes a 31710 Da protein containing 294 amino acids. Transcription produces one spliced mRNA, 0 alternatively spliced variant and 2 unspliced forms. C6orf47 protein is expected to localize in endoplasmic reticulum membrane. The C6orf47 gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, and rat. 227 organisms have orthologs with human gene C6orf47.
