Image / Experimental Information
| Image 1 Description | Immunofluorescence staining of CCR3 in HEK293 cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human CCR3 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:100) at 4℃ overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor®488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to Cytoplasm and Cell membrane. |

Background Information
| Full Name | chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 3 |
| Description | Tumors formed by lung adenocarcinoma cells with high expression of CCL28 grew faster and had a higher vascular density, whereas tumor formation rate of lung adenocarcinoma cells with CCL28 expression knockdown was quite low and had a lower vascular density. CCR3, receptor of CCL28, was highly expressed in vascular endothelial cells in lung adenocarcinoma when examining by immunohistochemistry. CCL28, as a chemokine induced by tumor hypoxia, could promote angiogenesis in lung adenocarcinoma through targeting CCR3 on microvascular endothelial cells. CCL28-CCR3 interactions are involved in the homeostatic trafficking of CD4(+) T cells to the upper airways. |
