Product Description/Introduction
Recombinant Protein G-Cys, His-tag is a cell wall protein derived from Group G Streptococci. It is recombinantly expressed in E. coli and exhibits specific binding to both the Fc and Fab regions of IgG molecules. Compared to Protein A, Protein G demonstrates higher affinity for most mammalian IgGs, particularly for IgG subunits. Unlike natural Protein G, this recombinant form contains only the antibody-binding region, eliminating other redundant structures. This modification enhances its specificity for antibodies and improves protein stability. Additionally, this product features a His tag and a C-terminal cysteine residue (Cys) to facilitate subsequent conjugation reactions.
Features: Enhanced specificity of antibody binding and improved protein stability.
Source: Recombinant expression of the Group G Streptococci wall protein gene in Escherichia coli.
Purity: ≥95% by SDS-PAGE, Protease Free.
