Image / Experimental Information
Image 1 Description
Immunofluorescence staining of HAT1 in HeLa cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-human HAT1 polyclonal antibody (1:1000) at 4℃ overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor®594-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (red). Positive staining was localized to nucleus.

HAT1 (Histone Acetyltransferase 1) is a Protein Coding gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a type B histone acetyltransferase (HAT) that is involved in the rapid acetylation of newly synthesized cytoplasmic histones, which are in turn imported into the nucleus for de novo deposition onto nascent DNA chains. HAT1 can up-regulate cell apoptosis. The dysfunction of apoptosis is one of the factors contributing to lung cancer (LC) growth. Upregulation of HAT1 expression in LCCs can induce LCCs apoptosis, which may be a potential novel therapy for the treatment of LC. KAT8 or HAT1 regulate HBV replication and may be potential drug targets of anti-HBV therapy. HAT1 played an important role in esophageal carcinoma and that it could be a novel EC therapeutic target.
