Overview
Taq Antibody is a mouse monoclonal antibody against Taq polymerase, suitable for Hot Start PCR. Upon binding to Taq polymerase, Taq Antibody inhibits the enzyme’s activity, thereby effectively suppressing non-specific annealing of primers and non-specific amplification caused by primer dimers under low-temperature conditions. Taq Antibody denatures during the initial DNA denaturation step of the PCR reaction, allowing the DNA polymerase activity to be restored and achieving the hot start effect. Consequently, no special inactivation treatment of the Taq Antibody is required.
