Overview
This product is a reverse transcription premix with added genomic DNA (gDNA) removal functionality, containing a high-efficiency reverse transcriptase for one-step cDNA synthesis.
Total RNA extracted via common methods often retains trace amounts of gDNA, which can affect the accuracy of gene expression analysis in Real-Time PCR when pseudogenes or non-intron-spanning primers are involved. The premix includes a thermostable DNase, which efficiently degrades DNA in one step, ensuring cDNA is free from gDNA contamination.
The resulting cDNA is suitable for qPCR analysis with dye-based or probe-based methods and can be used in combination with products like SuperStar Universal SYBR Master Mix (#CW3360) for quantitative PCR.
